National Taco Day

It is National Taco Day and we are celebrating with Jazzi and everyone who likes Tacos.  Now Mom being allergic to to pepper/peppers she has never eaten Tacos (or any Mexican Food) so she pondered how we could join in. Jazzi said we could make up our own Tacos so Mom invented the "THE DOG" Taco - and dog oh dog was it good!!!   The recipe is simple start with a nice crunchy Taco shell (which I have to admit I actually didn't like and didn't eat) a big slice of honey baked  ham, a hot dog, some cheese puffs and a sprinkle of cheese.

Can you believe Mom actually made us 'wait' to eat it while she took photos !!!!

Dweeb #1 - (Jackie) went straight for the hot dog followed by the cheese puffs, then the ham and like me - he didn't like the taco shell either so he left that.

Dweeb #2 - (Denny) he went for the grab and shake method - seriously I wonder about that boy - he has no manners. He pulled the ham out first and gobbled that down - then he went for the hot dog and finally the cheese puffs. He even ate the taco shell!!!

I worked the other way - I carefully and delicately ate the cheese puffs first - one by one, then savored the hot dog bite by little bite - followed up by the ham with a sprinkling of cheese on it. {Mom} - needless to say Mr Reilly is exaggerating a bit - he pulled everything out the taco shell and gulped it down in two bites!

Overall - we give 12 paws up for National Taco Day - and a big thank you to Mom because she let us break our  starvation diet (can you believe she has cut out our  treats!!!) to participate.  Hmmmm do you think we can have a National Taco Day every week?
